About This Project

'Teaching Classes Trees' In downtown Chambersburg, Cumberland Valley Tree Service - Landscaping completed a unique entitled 'Teaching Classes Trees'. The goals of this initiative were to inspire better understanding tree care and environmental stewardship in the community, while also serving the areas surrounding Carlisle, Mechanicsburg, and Greencastle. The involved selecting and planting different tree species relevant to local ecosystems. Durable and proper materials were then selected and plantedhardwood mulch and biodegradable tree guards were used to support health and sustainability for the saplings. Our capable crew faced some obstacles including soil conditions and mitigating existing plantlife in our designated areaworking to make it an inviting atmosphere for classes. As the developed, we built classroom areas using natural stone blocks and signage out of reclaimed materials. The mature tree canopies shaded our space providing not only a classroom, but also an example of sustainable practices in landscaping. The completed was an inviting, interactive outdoor classroom that our client loved, and that the community enjoyed and interacted. Participants left with additional knowledge of tree identification, maintenance, and the importance of trees in our environment. Overall, this exemplified CWTree's overall commitment to quality work and community engagement. The trees we planted, along with their students, will continue to impact their local landscape in caring-for and trees.
