Everything the property from the driveway to the small garden was transformed as part of this extensive landscape design to create a beautiful yet functional outdoor space that one can retreat to and enjoy nature without having to leave the comforts of their home. The included beautiful native plantings to provide beauty as well as increased local biodiversity. Wecurated the colorful perennials, ornamental grasses, and lush shrubs with care, making sure they were diverse enough to remain of interest throughout each year, and low enough in maintenance to be beneficial to our client. Natural stone walkways and custom timber trellises for both structural strength and rustic beauty were included as part of our premium finishes. With its hilly topography, the property posed the biggest challenge of all finding a way to grade the land level to create gathering spaces for entertaining and lounging. We solved these issues with a combination of locally quarried stone walls providing the necessary support needed to create terraced gardens that improved drainage while also creating unique visual elements. The best part of the , however, is the outdoor living space which includes a custom pergola, outdoor kitchen, and a fire pit to hold family and friends get-togethers. We achieved this great balance between beauty and utility and this is exactly what our clients wanted to achieve, a functional outdoor that suits their active lifestyle and nature-loving attitude. Join us at Main Street Nursery, where we turned 'Lloyd Harbor 2' into a reality - beautiful, sustainable, quality plants and gardeners that do not suck, but instead, are proud.
