Coughlin A Transformation by Reese's Landscape Nursery Located in Jefferson County, West Virginia, the Coughlin a wonderful example of Reese's Landscape Nursery's devotion to quality and creative versatility in landscaping is a transformation of the client's outdoor living space that blends form and function. The incorporated an impressive selection of native plant material chosen to perform in the local climate and provide visual interest throughout the year. Drought-resistant perennials such as coneflowers and black-eyed Susans were utilized to enhance biodiversity and beautify the habitat for pollinators. More colorful ornamental grasses were added to improve texture and create motion in the landscape. The steep slope of the clients' property presented potential erosion challenges and reduced the amount of usable area. Reese's Landscape Nursery's team overcame this by designing a series of terraced gardens with retaining walls, constructed from locally sourced stone. The elevated structures aided in stabilizing the slope while providing visual depth and layering to the . The firm also implemented an elegant stone pathway where clients custom-picked the flagstone. This pathway allowed visitors to navigate directly through the gardens and provided an organic connection to the natural environment.
