TURNING LEAF by Sundown Gardens Sundown Gardens is excited to introduce the 'TURNING LEAF' located in Carmel. This is a transformation to quality landscaping by incorporating natural aesthetics with functional design based on the vision from our client. We utilized an incredible diversity of native plants which were hand-selected for the climate and to develop native biodiversity. Our addition of lush ornamental grasses, vivid perennials, and new trees and shrubs improve privacy and will provide seasonal interest and color! The pathways and retaining walls we built were from a premium stone that, again, was sourced locally maintaining a rustic and natural feel that would last a lifetime. One of the challenges we faced during the was the slope of the topography on the property. This is were the creativity came-in with our design. We graded the site to enhance usable outdoor spaces. We designed a tiered garden that would manage water runoff, maximize plant health, while inhibiting erosion. We installed a new irrigation system to efficiently water all of this new lushness during the very hot summer spells and not waste any water in our use. The result is absolutely stunning - a warm combination of color, texture and natural beauty that helped transform a neglect lawn into a haven for plant-life! Our clients had an incredible experience to compliment the process of this transformation once completed whole heartedly taking on the dream of lending space to family and friends for all seasons. The 'TURNING LEAF' is a significant improvement to the home's curb appeal but more so enhances the lifestyle of its inhabitants!
