East Hills Residence In the heart of East Hills, Morell Landscape Associates took a sprawling residential property and transformed it into a beautiful outdoor sanctuary that will transition seamlessly from beauty to function. This was an entire landscaping endeavor to enhance the beauty of the home while creating a peaceful retreat for the homeowners. The included an elegant set of hardscaping, including a custom bluestone patio, which was designed to transition to the indoors seamlessly. A natural stone paver path meanders through a lush set of gardens, allowing guests to be immersed in a vibrant atmosphere of plantings and seating. To ensure this serene atmosphere of color year-round, we carefully selected a diverse palette of native plants including ornamental grasses, flowering perennials, and evergreen shrubs. These plants are not only well-suited for the local climate, but are hospitable to a number of pollinator species. We were equally thoughtful and selective when it came to the materials used, including the reclaimed wood for the raised garden beds and durable natural stone for the retaining walls, which lends a timeless quality to the implements. The sloped site conditions presented a significant challenge for the due to drainage issues and erosion control. In response, we applied a set of terraced gardens which assisted with water control yet also appreciated the landscaping by creating dimensions of layered greenery. The end result was a landscape that exceeded the client’s vision. The homeowners now have a landscape that related to relaxation and entertainment space around a stunning water feature providing a focal point for the property while offering a soothing soundtrack to their outdoor experience. Morell Landscape Associates was proud to have delivered a quality that both elevated the aesthetics of the property, added value, and provided the Residents of East Hills bliss with their new outdoor living space.
