Introductory Text: Living Room in the Woods Today we reveal the 'Living Room in the Woods' a landscape from Embassy Landscape Group that integrates all the beauty of nature with outdoor comfort. Set in the peaceful Gladstone area, this exemplifies our focus on quality and craftsmanship, serving clients in the Greater Kansas City area, Houston Lake, Lake Quivira, and beyond. This vision of an outdoor oasis was envisioned as making the woods feel like an extension of the home; providing a space where family and friends could gather to enjoy fall walks and warm summer nights under the tree canopy. The first step our professionals took here was carefully analyzing the site, taking into consideration the native topography and plants. Tiered planting beds and decorative boulders worked within the confines of that sloped terrain while also addressing drainage and providing beautiful visual interest. With a balance of native plants, drought tolerant perennials, and ornamental grasses, we designed gardens bursting with seasonal layers of greenery and blooms. Stone paths weave through the gardens, and custom seating areas, set amid the trees, encourage both comfort and privacy. To improve the use of the outdoor spaces the stunning fire pit with natural stone seating area was added to enjoy evenings. Subtle outdoor lighting also shines on the paths and accentuates the diverse plantings to bring the garden to life after dark. We believe the end result of the new "Living Room in the Woods" for this downed set exceeded our clients' expectations in side-stepping the normal backyard feel and giving them a proper sanctuary that melted itself into the countryside. Here at Embassy Landscape Group we are so proud to have put this vision into action and to have created a beautiful outdoor space that invites its residents to kick back, unwind, and connect with (in this case literally surround yourself with) nature. We hope to construct many more dreamy landscapes for our clients in Gladstone, as well as the greater Kansas City area and beyond.
