Backyard Oasis at Newton Residence Newawada Landscape Design, Inc. is pleased to present the transformed 'Backyard Oasis at Newton Residence,' which re-envisioned outdoor living for our client based in Newton, Massachuestts. The allows our clients to experience the beauty of an outdoor room that showcases our creativity while ensuring landscape is functional. The began with a robust site study that identified the site characteristics: the trees, the topography of the property. Our team took notice of a few issues, including the slope we needed to address and that much of the property receives limited sunlight. Because of these challenges, we developed some creative solutions to ensure everything came together cohesively and gracefully. We created a multi-layered landscape that uses only native plantings which serve as an attractive way to promote biodiversity while minimizing maintenance for the client. In addition, the stone patio made from bluestone (all sourced locally) created a picturesque space to entertain. While the stone patio is the primary feature of the patio, there are also curved, individual flowerbeds filled with colorful perennials and ornamental grasses to have countless colors blooming at any given time throughout the year. The privacy screening requested by the homeowners motivated us to plant a couple of evergreen hedges at the boundaries of their property and to install a charming wooden trellis with climbing vines to provide an appropriate screen to the adjacent neighbor. Finally, the centerpiece of the is the distinctive water feature - a pond which we designed (and constructed) that includes a waterfall. The water feature provides peace and serenity for the clients to enjoy and shapes the outdoor experience for the family in this backyard oasis. The path to the pond is stone laid on a slight decline to mimic a natural stream, to draw the family into the back of the yard. Overall, we met all of our clients wishes and transformed their back yard from ordinary to spectacular. The 'Backyard Oasis at Newton Resience' provided the homeowners with a beautiful and peaceful retreat, and turned their backyard into the perfect place for famlly gathering.
