We managed to wrap our design language around a neat piece of quality craftsmanship whereby every clad panel, structural piece and roof plane was designed to complement each other with the context as first priority. This breathtaking custom koi pond is the focal point of the landscape, artfully lined with natural stone and featuring a waterfall that fills the air with a calming melody. Throughout the rest of the design, we used a mixture of native plants, from flowering perennials to evergreens, to increase biodiversity in the area and ensure some visual interest year-round. The hardest part was probably the soil quality because of the drainage problems common in this part of the world, we experienced variable soil type from patch to patch. Our experienced team examined the site, applied a full drainage solution, and resolved these issues while extending the life of the landscaping features. Premium materials were of utmost importance here to yield not just a long-lasting but a premium product as well. The stones for the edge of the pond were quarried locally, and the garden beds incorporated organic soil amendments and biodegradable mulches. This softened the overall look and feel of the water feature within the overall outdoor space and our clients were blown away with the final result. Today the landscape is a sanctuary for family activities, features natural sitting areas made from reclaimed lumber, and beckons friends and family to experience nature together.
