The was a large scale residential landscape transformation in which garden beds were combined with a beautiful water feature and carefully laid out spaces intended for outdoor living created to realize the clients vision. Recognizing this, the began on a thorough site analysis, enabling us to understand the unique topography and micro climates found within the property. The first major challenge was the slope of the land and we resolved this by building some raised tiered garden beds with native Virginia plants. Not only did this make the area look nicer, but helped with soil retention and drainage as well, balancing our sustainability efforts with attractive landscaping. We chose the finest materials, natural stone for paths and feature walls, which allows for a seamless transition from surrounding structures. An integral component of the is a peaceful pond, including a waterfall that invites local wildlife and provides a peaceful ambiance for the homeowners. We woven in a colorful mix of perennials, ornamental grasses, and annuals to keep the garden full of color and texture all year long. The end product is a stunning outdoor space that enhances the propertys curb appeal while also providing a perfect place for family to come together and enjoy time outdoors.
