Serving the surrounding villages of Eastchester, Greenwich, Harrison, Mamaroneck, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Port Chester, Rye, Rye Brook, Scarsdale, Tuckahoe, White Plains, Yonkers, Bronxville, Larchmont, and Pelham Manor - the Pelham landscaping exemplifies what Breath Of Spring Landscaping is all ... quality! The initial challenge of this was a sloped yard that needed an inviting and balanced landscape. With careful thought and design, the team executed a landscape with tiered garden beds, often referred to as "the wall gardens" that featured perennials and drought-tolerant varieties to provide year-round color with minimal maintenance. They used local stone for the retaining walls, which provided the natural feel to the space while giving structural support to the growing landscape. We designed and constructed a flagstone patio to further enjoy the outdoor space for entertaining guest and family gatherings. Not only do we provide sustainability but using natural stone is and to me a much more elegant finish. We also built a meandering path from gravel and natural stone-stepping, which is also a great way to feature and allow guest to explore the endless variety of gardens planned to inspire and engage the client. As we continued, we planned a lighting solution that would finish the space. Our thought for lighting was to highlight the landscape at night and provide a soft, ambience to the path and gardens. The outdoor space was completely transformed into a magical retreat after dark. Also worth noted, was the local drainage issues the team faced during the phase. We had to directly address creating detailing drainage systems for the protection and upkeep of the landscaping features and plants being utilized. In conclusion, the final result is an incredible landscape that is functional and beautiful for the client. Not only did they achieve the goals of the , their expectations were exceeded as a result of the completed plan.
