About This Project

Gas Fire Pit & Stone Seatwall Detail Mike Ball Irrigation Landscape & Lighting created the Gas Fire Pit & Stone Seatwall in this beautiful Houston backyard! Specifically planned and implemented; in a manner that gives the space an inviting, comfortable area for your gatherings, lounge, listening to the peace and just sitting around looking at the flame. This will be focused around the state-of-the-art gas fire pit made up of heat resistant and durable materials. It not only provides warmth, but it will also act as a chic element in your outdoor space. We built a sturdy stone seatwall around the fire pit and used natural stone found locally to get the look that integrates well with the surroundings and creates plenty of seating for family and friends. The use of materials was essential in presenting a durable yet visually appealing element that would blend into the landscape. Along the way, we encountered problems like uneven topography and unique challenges with drainage design to keep the water from collecting on this portion of the site, amongst many others! Using these creative landscaping techniques and expert skills we were able to address these issues as they arose to create a base that can hold the weight of the stone seatwall while allowing it to remain stable and secure for many years to come. The end result is a stunning outdoor retreat that more than meets the clients expectations. Our clients were thrilled with the finished , commenting on the welcoming feeling of the fire pit and the functionality of the seatwall. Not only does this give her more space for outdoor living, but it creates lasting memories with friends and family too.
