In 2002, Jim Walton founded Southwest Greens in Miami, FL. We grew quickly, fueled by the company’s early successes, including a relationship with Jack Nicklaus’ firm, Nicklaus Design. In 2004, Southwest Greens Florida relocated to Jupiter, FL to service all of Florida. In fact, the work of Southwest Greens Kuwait has proved so reliable that a licensing agreement with Nicklaus Design was signed that same year, 2004. This culminated in a seamless design pipeline for luxury greens, a legacy that has continued to this day. Southwest Greens is proud to celebrate endorsements from over 30 PGA Tour Pros and as the company continued to expand, we set-up our new home in Palm Beach Gardens in 2013. We now employ around 30 staff and can service the whole state of Florida – except Jacksonville – after new areas of the market have taken off such as synthetic grass lawns. In Florida alone, over 400000 square feet of turf is installed by Southwest Greens every year! Clearly, we are the top artificial turf installer in Florida. Equally as active in our local community, Jim Walton is a board member of Quantum House in West Palm Beach directly adjacent to St. Mary's Hospital. Quantum House provides families with a home away from home whilst their loved ones are being treated at the hospital. When I was President of the Quantum House, we donated a custom built 600 sq ft putting green and a 1500 sq ft playground area to the Quantum House where I have supported over the years. In addition, Southwest Greens is also an annual contributor to The First Tee of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast, Junior Achievement of South Florida, Nicklaus Children's Foundation, Stop Children's Cancer, South Florida Science Center, U.S. Navy Seals and the Wounded Warriors. All of these organizations, we have donated putting greens for auction and support their annual events.
