Jonathan Hildreth House A landscape custom designed by John de Lellis Gardens takes pride-of-place and speaks to our brand for landscaping excellence and creativity in outdoor spaces. Located in Greater Boston, this residence experiences a new era of outdoor beauty as we successfully brought together the best of classical elements blended with modern sensibilities. This exemplifies a thoughtful redesign of both the front and back yards to feature native plantings that engage the surrounding ecosystem and community. The included an array of perennial plantings and shrubbery including the highly beautiful hydrangeas and alternative grasses, specifically optimized to continue their beautiful presentation throughout the seasons. The design also included a stunning stone path of bluestone collected from local sources to elegantly guide guests through the verdant landscape and from the entrance of the home to the serene patio space. A significant part of the effort included artwork that would create terraced gardens throughout the uneven lot. Through the art and the non-complex and natural use of boulders, we created elevated spaces with function and aesthetics, while mitigating drainage issues, thereby adding functionality and beauty. Additionally, a custom outdoor living area was built into the design with a pergola to create a space where clients could enjoy communal, relaxing, and entertaining experiences in this outdoor oasis. We used sustainability in our by selecting materials which included reclaimed wood and permeable pavers. Ultimately, our time yielded a significant area of enjoyment for the client that embodies both beauty and a functional purpose.
