About This Project

Hitching Post This a perfect example of quality and innovation in landscaping and was accomplished by the master Chris A. Zeek Landscape Design & Construction Hitching Post. This is located in the heart of Pennsylvania and was designed to form a peaceful outdoor space to experience the beauty of nature while allowing for functional beauty. The design incorporates a custom built stone patio using Pennsylvania bluestone that keeps in with the history of the surrounding rustic area. Native ornamental grasses and flowering perennials line the patio walls to provide year-round color and texture in addition to increased biodiversity. A trellis cleverly designed with wooden slats, home to climbing vines, a fantastic centerpiece and a space for visitors to unwind in your back garden with peace of mind. Our site had a few challenges; the biggest was the sloped nature of the terrain and final grading was necessary but its location left little room for horizontal grading for drainage and access. Working around this challenge, our experienced team created tiered planting beds which both added aesthetic value and provided functional erosion control. The end result is an outdoor environment you want to be in, beyond the clients imagination with seating areas, fire pit for evening gatherings and paths interwoven in beautiful greenery. Our commitment to sustainability is exemplified in the 'Hitching Post' , where we incorporated sustainable materials and water efficient irrigation systems in the landscape. Christopher A.
