About This Project

Using a Set of Reclaimed Supplies for a New Potting Shed At Back to Nature Home & Garden, we think that sustainability and beauty can coexist. This approach is evident in our newest , Reclaimed Materials for a New Potting Shed, and rings true as we work with much appreciated clients in Bedminster, Berkeley Heights, and beyond. The genesis of this was a vision: to build a working, decent looking potting shed without buying anything new, but using reclaimed materials. Each piece of weathered wood, every vintage brick and salvaged roofing tile was handpicked, telling a story of its own while adding character. The biggest issue we faced was how to retain the beautiful character of the reclaimed elements, whilst also ensuring the shed was structurally sound. Our talented team overcame this by updating the foundation with contemporary materials while retaining the charm of the original reclaimed wood. The final result? A gorgeous potting shed that blends right into the landscape. It has big, opening windows for light, a generous interior with built-ins for plants and tools, and a nice front porch with climbing vines. The transformation delighted our clients, who explained that the potting shed not only provides essential workspace but also adds visual interest to their garden. This is a reflection of our continuous intention of craftsmanship and material adaptation and transformation as a design, to tackle an issue without leaving a negative impact on nature.
