The turned the outdoor space of the headquarters into an extraordinary outdoor space to integrate seamlessly within the coastal landscape, both functionally and aesthetically. Some of the standout aspects of the design were the inclusion of native drought-resistant crops that helped to conserve water and improve biodiversity. These carefully chosen plants, from colorful succulent plants to fragrant herbs, form a verdant backdrop inspired by the plants and trees found in California. We added beautiful stone paths using local materials durable but with an organic look to match the green. The variated topography of the site was one of the key constraints we dealt with. The team did well to avoid this by building tiered beds with boulders that not only added visual interest, but prevented erosion. Custom-designed seating areas served as quick spaces for relaxation and collaboration, which combined to create a community feel for employees and visitors. What you end up with is a stunning landscape that is at once perfectly functional for Sonos, and a peaceful escape from the busy workday world. With meticulous detailing and sustainable practices, we delighted our client with a space that inspired creativity and well-being.
