About This Project

Fogleman Residence Aedan Workshop We work at Aedan Workshop and we are proud to have created beautiful landscapes for our clients outdoors! A recent we completed at the Fogleman Residence is a great representation of our ability to produce high quality work with a creative edge. Cary's diverse development community posed challenges, such as having to work around uneven property lines, and so did the need for water conservation. We created a multi-level garden concept that works with the natural topography. By using locally-sourced stone for the retaining walls we created a beautiful feature that blended with the landscape. Local natives were selected for their beauty along with their toughness so that maintenance can be minimal and sustainable. We added a calm water element, creating a pond that serves as habitat for local wildlife and an atmosphere of tranquility. And a custom-designed stone pathway carrying guests past fragrant, seasonal flower beds. The solution, besidesa minor house lift, was to grade around the house so as to approach the drainage in a way that the runoff will go away from the home, thus protecting the property and making it much more appealing. The end product is a beautiful, elegant yet functional outdoor space that has the Fogleman family overjoyed with their new landscape. We are proud to present this as both a landscape design expertise as well as a testament to our contribution to the beauty of Apex, Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Durham and beyond.
