Soul Soothing by Peter Bochenek and Associates, Inc. The 'Soul Soothing' landscaping is designed and implemented in Chapel Hill by Peter Bochenek and Associates, Inc., surrounded by the natural beauty of the area to allow for an outdoor experience that creates a retreat for the homeowners. Noteworthy elements of the landscaping included a stone walkway that winded through native plantings for increased biodiversity while also minimizing maintenance. Natural limestone was selected for the walkways, respecting the local geology, as well as a water feature that would induce sound and visual reflections to increase the peaceful atmosphere. A major feature of the property was the sloping topography, with challenges to create level spaces for a seating nook and for a planting bed for flower, which we did with planning and creativity. Our team built retaining walls with granite from a local source, solving their height limitations while adding an elegant, timeless expression. These walls supported native perennials and shrubs for endurance and seasonal color throughout the for interest all year long. The final is above their expectations. The yard transformed, once loved but underused, is now a place where everyone wants to gather and retreat to. With lighting in strategic locations on the porches, the area glows and invites night enjoyment. The overall design quality has made Soul Soothing the type of retreat for their family, and is also a that supports the reputation of Peter Bochenek and Associates, Inc. for excellence in landscaping throughout the region of Chapel Hill and Durham.
