Contemporary Natural by Peter Bochenek and Associates, Inc. Located in Chapel Hill, 'Contemporary Natural' by Peter Bochenek and Associates, Inc. allows nature to merge seamlessly with modern design. The goal was to create a welcoming outdoor space using native plants, textured stone walkways, and contemporary hardscape that highlights the changes in elevation and contours of the property. The presented new challenges with the uneven and somewhat steep terrain as well as limited sunlight in some areas. Our experienced staff tackled these challenges with raised beds and careful planning to ensure that everything would thrive in each area as it was meant to. Our focus was on using eco-friendly materials whenever feasible, using local stone and mulch to make a cohesive statement that honors the natural world and the barriers created by time. One aspect of the entire landscape design is the beautiful water feature that serves as a focal point while allowing your eye to move through the area. The sound of a water element creates soothing rhythm to the overall space. The plant material used in the design will provide seasonal color with months of an ever-changing landscape. In the design a custom fire pit area for entertaining has been created. To enhance the contemporary appeal of the new landscape a low-maintenance ornamental grass wraps around the entire fire pit area. The outcome of the entire landscape is a dynamic space that reflects the vision of the clients and allows for recreation and relaxation. Peter Bochenek and Associates, Inc. is proud to have transformed this setting into a contemporary oasis that satisfied (and exceeded) our client's expectations, and they are thrilled to have an incredibly enjoyable outdoor space.
