On 'Container Ideas,' our latest carpentry which refreshes personal containers into art pieces of living forms of nature; We were challenged to do more with less and really show how effective container designs can maximize small outdoor areas and spread the movement, serving these beautiful communities Bellevue, Bennington, Boys Town, Carter Lake, Chalco, Council Bluffs, La Vista, Millard, Omaha, Papillion, Ralston, and Elkhorn. The was selecting from a range of quality materials, from sturdy, weather-resilient pots made from sustainable composites, to exquisite terracotta and a hand-picked range of plants. We selected a blend of annuals and perennials so there is always something in bloom throughout the year and throughout each season. The colours and textures were purposefully layered to add dimension to the design. We did have to really stretch our brains for some of the challenges given how small the space was. By using vertical planting methods and cascading formations, out team were able to give the display added impact without overcrowding the view. In addition we tackled drainage issues by using self-watering systems for some containers, making sure the plants prospered even in the hottest days of the summer. End result shown above: Colour and life, giving the client a green haven in their back garden. Consequently, each container was a narrative, expressing craft and talent by our landscaping crew. The happy customer told us they love how the functional side of the part of the kitchen that through its aesthetic creation such a nice place for family and friends to gather.
