Backyard Oasis by Happy Gardens Happy Gardens is excited to share the ‘Backyard Oasis’ a beautiful transformation designed to enhance outdoor living in Fort Worth, including Westover Hills. When we approached this ambitious landscaping , the homeowner wanted to create a peaceful retreat that blended nature with contemporary landscaping to provide a tranquil and functional backyard for their family. After an extensive site analysis, our team was able to identify a series of challenges from the uneven terrain more vegetation that already existed. To overcome this issue we developed a series of terraces that would not only add visual interest, but also allow improved drainage, maximizing the longevity of the landscape. The landscape included the most gorgeous native plants that are perfect for the climate, including the Texas sage, ornamental grasses, and filled with color of botanicals like lantana. All of these plants will provide color for the homeowner in every season while also being beneficial to local wildlife, requiring little to no additional water, and upholding sustainable garden principles. Along with this series of plants we installed a patio made from natural flagstone creating a lovely area for family gatherings and outdoor dinners. In addition, we integrated a simple water feature complete with a waterfall that flows into a quiet pond that attracted the early morning robins and provides a beautiful soundtrack. By positioning LED landscape lighting, we highlighted the detail in stonework, and shapes of greenery, so the homeowner could experience the overall retreat throughout the evening hours. The final product is a beautiful backyard oasis that the homeowner had envisioned and more, providing them with a serene retreat to read or entertain guests. Not only has Happy Gardens transformed their backyard in a way that instills the quality craftsmanship and eye for detail, we have also enhanced the overall living space for both the homeowner and their family.
