Commercial 1 by E2 Illumination Designs E2 Illumination Designs is pleased to announce the completion of landscaping 'Commercial #1' a stunning landscape for one of North Dallas' larger commercial properties. Our team concentrated on making the outdoor area visually pleasing, functional, and with a design that was not too dissimilar to the surroundings, yet maintaining a professional feel appropriate for the client brand. The showcased a balanced mix of native plants and ornamental grasses along with an assortment of well-placed trees to offer beauty and shade over time. In the interest of sustainability we picked drought-resistant flora that would provide maximum colour with low water conditions year-round. Natural stone pathways and decorative boulders represent high-quality, locally sourced materials that further enhanced the beauty of the landscape while creating spaces for employees and visitors to linger. Grading: One of our major obstacles was the rolling landscape of the site which made it difficult to establish connection points for seating and congregation. We solved this with terraced landscaping, which allowed us to create tiered areas to both be functional as well as creating depth and volume in the overall design. Which ended up being a beautiful place that married form with function. The provided lush greenery along with ambient light combined within its design, make this area a very interesting space for evening events or informal gatherings. The client was very happy with the results and said that the new landscape increased the curb appeal of their home and created a quiet escape for employees and visitors.
