#4: E2 Illumination Designs Transformative Outdoor Oasisា Located in the heart of University Park, E2 Illumination Designs (E2) has created a (#4) that illustrates one of their key principles of landscape design that the end result should not only be an attractive landscape, but a functional one as well. This was a full backyard reno, complete with hard and softscape. We designed a multi-tiered patio which was completed with premium natural stone pavers, picked due to their strength and beauty. The fire pit is custom built and surrounded by comfortable seating, perfect for the family to gather around and wind down for the evening. We also added an outdoor kitchen, consisting of a grill and granite countertop to improve outdoor experience while providing luxury and durability. Our biggest obstacle was that the yard was not level. Our expert team levelled the land to create a smooth transition from inside the home to the garden. To prevent drainage problems, we devised an elaborate drainage system that will preserve the greenery, regardless of heavy rains. We placed just as much emphasis on softscaping as well, selecting a palette of native plants and flowering shrubs that flourish in the local climate and bring a splash of color to the seasons. We introduced drought-tolerant grasses to reduce water and add visual interest. It truly ended up leaving client and us astounded by the transformation of an outdoor space, that exceeded any of the original expectations. With a beautiful combination of natural materials, attention to detail, and quality craftsmanship, the home had a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged the homeowner to spend time in it.
