About This Project

Old World Brick Paving's Forrest Clay Located in a highly populated area, the Forrest Clay is a representation of the artistry and craftsmanship that Old World Brick Paving prides itself on. From Addison to Wilmette, our breadth of types rivaled the expansiveness of the Chicago area, but this was an outdoor transformation that blended art with function. This featured the installation of a beautiful clay brick patio that became the focal point of the garden transformation. We carefully selected a high-quality durable clay brick in warm earthy tones that paired perfectly with the nature surroundings while providing durability. Alongside the patio were custom flowerbeds of native plants that thrive in the local climate, providing color throughout the year and attracting pollinators. One major challenge faced on this site was that it was quite sloped, meaning a drainagable stone surface with a purposeful grade needed to be installed to guarantee water would flow away from the house. Our construction team took care to put together a complete drainage plan that would hold up to the work and also prevent erosion and help protect the landscape from the water. To finish the entire look of the the team installed walking path pieces of natural stone complimentary to our clay surfaces that wrapped around the entire garden and lead to intimate seating spaces for clients to enjoy and relax in their outdoor areas. With the layered nature of the clay brick, natural stone, and plantings, the space created one to entertain or relax. One of the biggest compliments we can receive is when a landscape doubles the expectations of our clients. The Forrest Clay did precisely that. It demonstrated our level of commitment to quality and detail and our passion to build landscapes that are reflective of the character of each home.
