Drought-Friendly Water Rebates Green Republic Landscapes Inc. is pleased to announce the successful finish of the recently completed 'Drought-Friendly Water Rebates' , an innovative program that not only beautifies yards but also improves sustainability in many of the areas we serve, including Bellflower, Beverly Hills, Carson, and more. The focus of this was the replacement of conventional turf lawns with colorful, climate-appropriate, high-performing water-efficient landscapes in California. We incorporated all native plants, succulents, and ornamental grasses that require little water and are hardy, creating a beautiful environmental landscape for the space. The first major obstacle we had to tackle was the antiquated and nonfunctional irrigation system. Our experienced team redesigned the irrigation system to include smart watering compatible equipment connected to a weather data logger, assessing real-time weather conditions and limiting unnecessary water use. Our walkways were made of permeable materials so that rainwater would pipe itself into the ground to recharge surrounding aquifers. The end product was absolutely beautiful a green, welcoming yard that surely fulfilled the vision of the homeowner and even surpassed their desires. The natives blended with their environment to create an oasis, which is low in upkeep. The client was especially pleased with the result, the value it added to their property and lower water bills due to the water rebate scheme.
