Set amongst the tranquility of their property, this getaway was created to combine relaxation with purpose. Our talented team started by analyzing the current landscape, which presented several challenges like uneven terrain and inadequate drainage. The ground was painstakingly levelled with an elaborate drainage system so that water could run away from the high spots where it would ruin the landscaping. The gem of this retreat is a beautiful paver stone patio, made from locally sourced pavers that deliver both strength and beauty. You can use this appealing space to have gatherings or also to sit in solitude for a quiet evening under stars. This set of raised garden beds of the patio, made from sustainable cedar wood, not only makes the patio look nicer but also provides sustainable space for growing herbs and flowers. We designed a custom fire pit with lounge seating around it to allow the family to have peaceful evenings outside. They featured a palette of low water, native plantings that bloom throughout the year bringing color to the yard and attracting local wildlife, all the while keeping energy needs minimal. The was not without challenges, which included considerable site constraints and complexities with integrating the design into hillside and existing landscape. Nevertheless, the ingenuity of our team and their dedication to detail brought solutions to the table, and the result was a functional outdoor area that was well-aligned to the client’s desire. The end product is a Comfortable Backyard Retreat that makes the property even more beautiful and also provides a special place to reflect and entertain yourself and the family.
