About This Project

This is a private swimming pool designed by Charles Godfrey Landscape Architects, Inc. Located in the beautiful region of Greenville, the Private Swimming Pool by Charles Godfrey Landscape Architects, Inc. embodies luxury and natural surroundings. This beautiful outdoor space was designed as a Sanctuary for the homeowners to escape to while enhancing the overall aesthetic of the property. The includes an exquisite pool enclosed by a wholly curated landscape featuring native planting that thrives in the local climate. Adding natural stone for pathways gives a blended continuum between the pool space and the gardens. Bluestone coping and textured pavers ensure a stylish yet low-maintenance finish which endures the test of time, wear and tear and also the varying weather conditions this region is known for. We battled a number of site challenges, one specific problem was the slope on the property and how to accommodate a level pool area with some creative form. We were able to build a tiered landscape that misses the needed stability and more appealing element, filled with greenery and ornamental grasses that provide movement. We added ambient lighting to the pool area to enjoy the pool at night, but also to add to the ambiance when entertaining. Ultimately, the final product was an exquisite outdoor area, with the clients ecstatic over how this stated their yard became a luxury retreat. A likes this is a visible marker of our commitment to craftsmanship and thoughtful design in all the communities we serve such as Arcadia, Spartanburg, and further afield.
