Charleston Garden Designed by Charles Godfrey Landscape Architects, Inc., the Charleston Garden is a brilliant indoor/outdoor space located within the heart of Spartanburg that strikes a perfect balance between beauty and function, helping facilitate the clients' desire to create an outdoor oasis. The large plot spans more than an acre and is filled with native plantings, focused pathways, and inclusive hardscaping for a beautiful experience in all-natural settings! A gorgeous water feature mimicking the gentle flow of nearby streams serves as the centerpiece, encircled by lush native plantings supporting local wildlife. They highlighted the selection of robust and sustainable materials such as natural stone and reclaimed wood that were chosen to ensure durability and harmony with nature. Carefully selected for seasonal interest and hardiness, all the plants on display there are colorful perennials, ornamental grasses, and native shrubs that are adapted to the local climate. Steep slopes offering erosion potential were a major challenge of the . This led our team to bring its creative solution of terracing on site so that not only was the area stable, but it created welcoming terraced levels for planting beds and seating areas. It turned a possible hindrance into a nice design feature. The end result is a beautiful oasis, nestled into its environment, giving the client the perfect space to unwind and entertain. So our client, left with this joyous light-filled garden a Centre for new memories, is a testament to the firm, Charles Godfrey Landscape Architects not just with creating high-quality craftsmanship and sustainable design. Residents and visitors have commended this for improving the value of the property while also improving the natural beauty of the community.
