### Traditional Landscapes Tommy Pollina Landscape Company Inc. is excited to present the 'Traditional Landscapes' , a remarkable and stunning transformation of outdoor living space in the community of North Shore. We worked with the villages of Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Glenview, and all of the surrounding regions on this to create an inviting landscape that incorporates traditional elements yet works with the practical livability of today. The includes a wide variety of landscaping features, including integrated native plantings, decorative flagstone paths, and a focal water feature as a peaceful element. Nevertheless, we used very high-quality materials, including natural bluestone, reclaimed bricks in two colors, and sustainably sourced timber, as we pride ourselves in our end product. One of the challenges we had was that the grace of the site was the topography that we encountered, so the plan showed the need to examine creative ways to create an even flat landscape that included features we wanted to have and remain inviting. We were very creative in our approach to our grading, taking advantage of the site's characteristics and designing tiered garden beds opening up the areas and providing beautiful drainage to enhance healthy plant growth; the owner loves planters. The final result was a beautiful landscape that included outdoor living furniture lounge area to entertain. Very colorful flower beds which pop with colors that were used so we had sours with flowering plants, and a lovely place to take a nap in the shaded area. The clients were so happy that they expressed how excited they were to have this change to their yard and to have it added as an extension to their home.
