Park Ridge Residence 2 Tommy Pollina Landscape Company Inc. specializes in creating beautiful outdoor spaces that complement their environment. Our latest , Park Ridge Residence 2, highlights our passion for quality craftsmanship, along with our innovative design and spatial awareness to meet the needs of our Park Ridge clients and beyond. This started out as a call to create a peaceful, multi-use backyard living area that was complimentary to the existing architecture of the home. Our design team worked to evaluate an entirely new landscape to establish a massive bluestone patio that would add durability and longevity to the outdoor space. The patio was designed to be a space for entertaining family and friends, but also to offer a beautiful collection of colorful plantings that would be visually interesting year round. In preparing to develop the space, there was a significant amount of work to do on the uneven site and as part of the planning, we had to use our grading expertise to ensure that everything would drain appropriately, and remain stable over time. We also decided to include terrace-style planting beds that not only handled the topo issues, but gave a certain shape and form to our overall design. We were sure to include plenty of native plants in our beds, which would yield sustainability and good habitat for our native wildlife. One interesting feature to incorporate was a relaxing water feature that cascaded over rock and moss. This provided an inviting feature for the home, and also blended A beautiful sound of water flowing, while at the same time contributed the overall peaceful atmosphere and blocked out all unwanted sounds in the community. Along with creating a functional feature, we also utilized energy efficient LED lighting to help illuminate the space in a quiet way in the evening. We wanted to make sure our clients were able to enjoy their gardens, even when the sun went down. This feature also added insight at certain times and gave egress whenever it was unexpected for safety, but also illuminated this architectural space. Our final landscape created a beautiful, thought provoking space, while maintaining a sense of place and aesthetic that made our client thrilled. The overall use of natural materials, when paired with creative design and installation gave a respite to Park Ridge Residence 2 that can be enjoyed for years to come. Quality workmanship and customer satisfaction are still our objectives in our practice, as we create new landscapes that can stand the test of time.
