TYPE: TRADITIONAL & CLASSIC NEWPORT BEACH Set against the beautiful backdrop of Newport Beach, Dale Waldo Landscape Architecture's "Traditional & Classic" landscaping is a master class in the timeless beauty of Southern California gardens. By combining traditional style with contemporary function, this brings the outdoors into a comfortable refuge. Carefully curated with flourishing native fauna, this design incorporates coastal climate favorites such as hedges, jasmine and bougainvillea. The hardscape features of natural stone pathways and classic brick patios were created to ensure long-lasting outdoor use with a look that emulates the character of the home. The sandy soil conditions prevalent in the area posed one of the largest challenges both during the and after, showing the need for innovative drainage solutions that promoted landscape integrity. A carefully designed irrigation system we devised uses minimal water to create sure the plantings have adequate nourishment to grow healthily. The end result is a balanced mixture of soft textures and pops of color, anchored by a sensational and custom built trellis wrapped in climbing rosesthe perfect spot to relax and entertain. The client was over the moon with the result, with a beautiful design that remains respectful of the classic coastal style, but allows for a truly functional family hub. Dale Waldo Landscape Architecture is proud to have executed this vision and add to the beauty of Newport Beach benefiting the larger Orange County communities.
