About This Project

Thank you to Lakeside Retreat by Avant Gardening & Landscaping Inc. Located on a quiet lake in the middle of Madison, Avant Gardening & Landscaping Inc. was able to take a simple outdoor space & make it breathtaking with the construction of the "Lakeside Retreat" . This included large-scale work on the backyard, designed to complement the natural beauty of the area while providing practical spaces for relaxing and entertaining. Unique to this amazing retreat is a custom stone patio made from site guaranteed bluestone, which is not only beautiful but extremely durable. A focal point for myself when gathering outdoors with the family, gorgeous views over the still waters. A compilation of different native plants colorful perennials, ornamental grasses, etc. circle the patio and boost not only local biodiversity but also the patio's appeal. We dealt with the site's steep slope through innovative grading and constructed natural timber retaining walls. Besides providing structural strength, these walls can act as tiered garden beds that add beauty and dimension to the site. A serpentine stone path brings elements of curiosity and guidance through the garden while opening up the space to fully experience each hand-picked plant and the environment surrounding it. We also designed soft landscape lighting that connected throughout the property to highlight the key features and provide a warm glow in the evenings to enjoy the space. To complete the transformation, a fire pit area was added, surrounded by ample seating for relaxing evenings beneath the stars. The "Lakeside Retreat" is an example of quality craftsmanship and attention to detail that is an ongoing commitment that Avant Gardening & Landscaping Inc. has to their clients. The happy homeowners now have an outdoor haven that complements their lifestyle and showcases their property’s natural beautycomplete with a wonderful refuge for family and friends.
