- Ponds & Water Features - Ralph Williams Landscape Design Ralph Williams Landscape Design is thrilled to present the ‘Ponds, Water Features’ to the beautiful people of Central Massachusetts. We have taken a typical suburban backyard and made it into a peaceful retreat. We have a large service area and work comfortably from Acton to Worcester, creating beautiful outdoor living spaces that reflect the traditional aesthetic of their natural surroundings. The centered around a custom-sized pond and waterfall to create movement and sound. We used a combination of custom cut natural stones for the waterfall and pathways surrounding the pond to provide a beautiful yet durable plant feature in the landscape. Aquatic plants like water lilies and lotus were incorporated into the landscaping to improve aesthetics and habitat for wildlife. One of the challenges faced was the site having multiple sloping terrains that needed a design that was balanced and address all the features to be installed. With planning and careful crafting, we leveled out the grading of the yard and incorporated a natural filtration system for cleaner and clearer water with lower maintenance. The end result was a beautiful retreat that the clients were "crazy " that provided a place to relax and unplug. With water flowing and colorful blooming plants, the landscape improved not only the property aesthetically, but provided a space to spend time with family and friends and relax.
