Fine Garden Creations: Wallingford Garden Installation Fine Garden Creations is pleased to highlight the Wallingford Garden Installation, a stunning example of our innovative yet practical approach to creating unique landscapes for our clients. Located in the centre of Wallingford, this garden was designed to complement the natural surroundings & for the homeowner to ‘escape’ into. During the initial consultation, we quickly learned that the client wanted the expansive backyard to have a cohesive landscape including native plantings and functional open space, in addition to beautiful hardscaping elements. Despite some challengeslike having to work with uneven ground and bad soil qualityour experienced team tackled those challenges with unique grading solutions and soil amendments to ensure a healthy, thriving garden for years to come. Central to this design was a selection of native plants that were chosen based on seasonal interest and low maintenance needs. Our gorgeous stone pathway, made with locally harvested bluestone, winds through the garden encouraging users to explore and engage with nature. A rustic, custom fire pit area beautifully surrounded by meticulously placed natural boulders, trees and other greenery that enhances the property and serves as a perfect social gathering location for family and friends. For aesthetic appeal, we added landscape lighting that illuminates the focal points of the garden and provides safety and atmosphere at night. A rain garden was designed that nicely controls runoff, proving that we used sustainable landscaping practices. The end result is a beautiful garden that fits the brief perfectly and more than the client could have wished for. The harmonious balance of hardscape and softscape elements brings an oasis-like setting to unwind and entertain.
