Pool with a View Completed by Pony Lawncare and Landscaping Located in the heart of Powell, the Pool with a View highlights the art and skill of Pony Lawncare and Landscaping. The team was faced with the challenge of creating a beautiful outdoor experience that dedicated space to a new swimming pool and extensive landscaping work. Throughout the process, we intimately examined the site and identified key challenges, such as a steep hill and existing drainage issues. The team identified that the best way to overcome these challenges and work with the slope was to develop a multi-tiered layout composed of natural stone retaining walls to assist with holding back the soil and creating an aesthetically pleasing backdrop for the patio and pool deck. We chose quality bluestone coping around the pool to add both durability and a beautiful product to the finished landscaping around the pool. A variety of native plants and ornamental grasses were carefully planned around the pool for a rich mixture of green color and plant texture that will differentiate the site through various seasons. An irrigation system was installed to meet both the aesthetic goals and ensure suitable upkeep and care of plants while conserving the use of water. A large patio was included within the design for social time, family time with kids, and entertaining. Finally, a portion of the patio was composed of natural stone and composite decking to offer creative material combinations. Lighting played a key role in this as well. LED lights were planned into the pool to draw attention to the pool features while also creating a unique outdoor experience. Quality and craftsmanship were visibly demonstrated in all aspects, right down to our material selections and the way sewer parts were installed.
