The process started with a sloped, boring area out back that was lacking both form and function. We designed a carefully crafted, multi-functional back patio using natural stone pavers that beautifully blended into the natural atmosphere. The use of permeable materials is a design that looks great but also solves the problem area of water collecting, which was an issue for the client. With the addition of a custom-built seating wall made from nearby quarried stone, families and friends have a place to land in comfort, as well as define the space. A winding driveway was installed alongside the patio, leading from the street up to the house, providing an accessible but graceful approach. Using textured concrete and stamped stamped concrete, with decorative borders, the driveway looks great and last a long time. A challenge for our team, given the trees and landscaping elements already present, was integrating those into the design so that everything visually felt organic. The end product is a gorgeous outdoor oasis that turned the Sehnert's backyard into a peaceful getaway that the family can use as a setting for entertaining and unwinding. Due to our dedicated quality, time-based commitment, and detailing, the was completed on time, leaving the clients happy with their new outdoor space.
