The design included a multi-tiered garden with native stone used to create natural retaining walls, fulfilling both functional and aesthetic needs. We created stronger design through original plant choices by designing in sequence, incorporating showy perennials and more ornamental grasses for year-round interest, thus supporting local biodiversity. Interwoven throughout the garden is a lovely flagstone pathway that leads to a small fire pit area and space creating an opportunity for outdoor gatherings with family and friends. We then put the final touches with an elegant paver patio that leads from the home into the back yard oasis. With the inclusion of ambient lighting, Turk was able to transform this area into a magical oasis after sunset, letting him and his family be able to use their yard well after dark. In the end the work culminated in a bespoke landscape, which surpassed Turk's original expectations. It was the embodiment of function, form, and sustainability that is the spirit of outdoor living. That part of his backyard, Turk said, had become a favorite place the ideal spot for unwinding, hanging out and entertaining.
