Perennial Gardens by Landsburg Landscape Nursery Located in the center of the Brainerd Lakes area, the 'Perennial Gardens' is a testament to the mastery of Landsburg Landscape Nursery. Nestled within a charming setting, the entailed the creation of a perennial butterfly garden in an ongoing effort to replace more traditional landscape elements with perennial blooms, diversity, year-round beauty and color. We had chosen a variety of colors and textures of plants, including coneflowers, daylilies, and hostas. Native grasses helped beautify and draw wildlife, creating a temporary native ecosytem in the process of development. The nature of the site was also challenging as it had a lot of undulation that made it hard to provide a consistent design. Skilled landscapers knew how to play with the grading, creating a natural flow where beautiful garden beds met walkways. We had the local stone mill provide stone edging to help define each of the spaces. It was important to us that the materials were from the area, match with the surroundings, and us not having to replace them every 5 years as each baseball diamond we did. What you get is a beautiful but practical garden, laid out with thought, that survives throughout the seasons. The final result was well received by clients as a peaceful escape which is a great meeting place for family and friends. This serves to benefit the property, but it also benefits the community in Baxter, Brainerd, Crosby, and all surrounding towns, and should truly represent the high standards and expectations of Landsburg Landscape Nursery.
