About This Project

Summary: Interlochen Residence Through LandPatterns, Inc., the Interlochen Residence demonstrates our passion for creating beautifully designed outdoor spaces while integrating with the property within the exciting community of University Park. This landscape renovation was completed for an existing home and turned a basic backyard into a breathtaking experience with landscaping and hardscaping. New stone patios, constructed of locally sourced limestone, provided a beautiful natural aesthetic effect and will last for many years. Native plants such as powerful azaleas and drought-tolerant succulents were planted around the patio to improve biodiversity and reduced water use. The plants selected reflect the architecture of the home, enhance biodiversity, and create a self-sustained ecosystem. One of the challenges during the was working with the slope of the property while still providing drainage and erosion control. We provided a terraced garden approach with decorative boulders and a reclaimed wood retaining wall to solve the drainage issues while adding rustic detail to the landscape. We designed an outdoor kitchen and dining area with high-quality stainless steel appliances in this newly appointed space. The kitchen and dining area are surrounded with planting and inviting lighting options that create a cohesive outdoor living environment. The outdoor kitchen and dining area created an inviting atmosphere that encourages sustainability, socialization, and relaxation. Overall, not only did the Interlochen meet our client's expectations, but it exceeded them. The quality of our construction methods and attention to detail exemplifies LandPatterns, Inc.'s work ethic and level of quality in Dallas, Highland Park, Oak Lawn, Richardson, and University Park.
