Bywater Water Features for Southern Landscape Design Southern Landscape Design proudly presents the 'Bywater Water Features' , a exquisite renovation made for a discerning (yet specific) client in the Charlotte area. We envisioned a relaxing oasis that would seamlessly blend with the surrounding landscape, providing a retreat in our client’s own backyard. The focal point of the was a stunning pondless waterfall that would echo the sound of moving water, but without the maintenance of a traditional pond. Using natural stone and boulders from local quarries, our craftsmen were able to create a multi-tiered waterfall that flows over the boulders, providing exciting visuals and sound from the water flow as it cascades over the stones. We planted luscious native plants around the water feature to add to the beauty while supporting sustainability and biodiversity. The challenge we faced was how to integrate the water feature into a sloped landscape while maintaining drainage and flow of water. Our team of talented engineers pitched a hidden basin to facilitate drainage and return water flow without compromising the design and enhancements to the area. We also installed ambient lighting to highlight the waterfall at night so the client could enjoy their outdoor living space more, especially in the evenings. The final result was phenomenalan alluring space to unwind and ponderwhile adding immense value to the property. At Southern Landscape Design, we take extreme pride in the and quality of our work.
