VERSION 2 MENTIONED IN THIS POST North Oak Canyon by Austin Outdoor Design Austin Outdoor Design have transformed North Oak Canyon into a beautiful landscape. This radical landscaping included a careful re-design of a 4500-square-metre residential block, merging nature with modernity and ultimately increasing the outdoor living areas of the home. This included utilizing native plant types for sustainability and resilience against the climate-specific challenges in texas of the plant. We chose a variety of drought-resistant plantsTexas sage and all-red yucca to a coupleto create a colorful palette that offers yearlong interest. These plants not only blend in with nature but also require little maintenance, which is an environmentally friendly practice. A highlight of the is the beautiful stone hardscaping from local limestone. This material was selected due to its long-lasting nature and design elements, making it blend harmoniously with the landscape surrounding it. We topped it off with some Elysian pathways and a more rustic area for the fire pit where the family can gather under the stars. A weatherproof cedar pergola was custom-built, providing shade and further maximizing the outdoor living space. We had to deal with the silty and very steep slope on the property line throughout the . To overcome this topographical obstacle and to also add layers of interest to our landscape, our team expertly executed tiered garden beds. It offered improved drainage and easier retention of soil to keep the plantings alive. Finished, North Oak Canyon had arrived as a functional yet tranquil oasis. Entertaining clients are now delighted to have an outdoor space that aligns with their lifestyle featuring sumptuous gardens, outdoor seating spaces and the nature-inspired elements such as wood, soft textiles and earth tones that can bring a sense of calmness to their day.
