Crestview Landscaping, Austin Outdoor Design In the heart of Crestview, the landscaping transformation from Austin Outdoor Design truly exemplifies excellence in outdoor artistry. It was creating a warm, usability space to interact with that matched with the surroundings & elevated the property curb appeal. We started with an in-depth site assessment, mapping out crucial elements as well as obstacles like uneven ground and current shade coverage. To address these challenges, we incorporated several terraced garden designs that used natural stone retaining walls providing both stability and visual appeal. Not only did the locally sourced granite blend seamlessly with the landscape, but it would stand the test of time against the Texas elements. The star feature of the is the patio that was designed especially for this space. It is made of high-end, safety pavers that provide a beautiful but slip-resistant surface. The outdoor living space is flanked with a selection of lower-maintenance, native plants including bright Texas sage around the periphery, as well as drought-resistant succulents. The result is a vibrant, dense refuge that lures butterflies and hummingbirds and invites us to connect with nature. This posed the problem of implementing irrigation systems that were effective for the different types of plant life but also conserve water. We placed our smart drip irrigation system to allow for optimal growth with the least resources. The end product is a beautiful space that enriches the property while also giving the family a little place to escape to. Our clients were over the moon with the end result, amazed how seamlessly it married function and design.
