This is a colourful outdoor space for a popular local pizzeria, providing a lively extension to its environment while making a warm environment for users in central Oxford. Low-maintenance and beautiful year-round, this garden showcases a stunning palette of native plantings, ornamental grasses, and colorful flowers. Bluestone patio [provides] a custom stone [area] which illustrates a unique stonework symbol for al fresco dining[, integrating] the patio into landscape. For the wood trellises, we kept it simple and elegant by using climbing vines, which made the dining area a little more cozy and private. The site was uneven and that was one of the biggest challenges for this so contouring and grading have to be done with care and innovative methods. We can do this without losing natural drainage to the area, which lays the proper groundwork for natural landscapes that can withstand various weather conditions. We also increased lighting without excess brightness with a subtle landscape lighting system showing pathways and major features, giving guests the opportunity to experience the space at night. This led to an outdoor space that is gorgeous, greatly improved the curb appeal and the number of diners of its pizzeria, in which both the customer and pizzeria customers are thrilled.
