Gates Mills 2 by ONeill Landscape Design and Installation Located in the charming community of Gates Mills, the "Gates Mills 2" is a great example of both the artistry and skills that ONeill Landscape Design and Installation has to offer. This large landscaping took an unstylish backyard and turned it into a stunning outdoor space that connects to its surrounding natural beauty. The embraced a carefully planned layout, and a variety of native plants were chosen for sustainable beauty and low maintenance. This included beautiful stone pathways made from local bluestone that create flow throughout the space. As a standout feature, we designed and built a custom pergola from locally sourced cedar that provides a sheltered spot for family events and a quiet place for an evening escape. There was a change in elevation throughout the site which created an obstacle for grading. We were able to navigate proper drainage of the landscape while maintaining its design aesthetic. For functional and aesthetic reasons, we utilized locally sourced natural stone retaining walls. As part of the landscape installation, we included a colorful assortment of flowering shrubs, ornamental grasses, and evergreens for year-round interest. We also installed LED lighting to highlight the site's unique features, to take advantage of evening exposure. Overall, this resulted in a stunning landscape our clients enjoyed, and they now have a beautiful sanctuary within their home and surrounding natural beauty, and we at ONeill Landscape Design and Installation has the quality of work and commitment to exceed expectations, and this represents this commitment at every level.
