The design incorporates a respect for both angular edges and organic shapes, produced by a thoughtful plan that ensures aesthetics both flow and maximize use. Our crew combined a selection of native plantings, drought-tolerant perennials, and striking hardscape such as arranged pathways of linear stone and modern sitting areas designed to inform and invite seating and conversation while casually exploring the entry and courtyard. Assuring the effect was enlightening, we used wonderful materials including natural bluestone and reclaimed cedar lumber. The location also provided meaningful challenges, prompting us to engage with elevation in a manner that induced landscape flow without losing the experience to rising and lowering entry. The crew incorporated a multi-step grading solution which combined with well-located retaining walls created wonderful terraces, which stabilized planters and beautiful habitat to plant. In combining the steep elevation change and the modern preference, the excitement for motion through the landscape emerged, defined by both natural contours and modern trim and edges. The final product exceeding the clients hoped, as they successfully integrated their home, with a contemporary landscape setting. Crisp Contemporary exudes a beautiful blend of aesthetics that engages and invites casual mindfulness of place in design, while maintaining a richly inviting physical atmosphere. Crisp Contemporary was a sincere representation of the Wantland Ink commitment to creating landscapes which are relevant for stimulating your home experience and quality of life in Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Memphis.
