Located in Nashville, the Classic (2) showcases the classic style, natural beauty, and elegance that Wantland Ink Landscape Architecture, PLLC is known for. Serving the distinguished neighborhoods of Belle Meade, Brentwood, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, and with additional areas beyond, this exemplifies our drive for quality and detailed execution. The design incorporates a beautiful collage of native plantings that are arranged to produce gardens with layering and lushness that help fit the architecture of the house. We included perennials, ornamental grasses, and flowering shrubs that produced year-round interest and color. We also used locally harvested stone for walkways and retaining walls to achieve beauty and sustainability. One of the more notable challenges we encountered in this was the shifting topography of the site, which demanded creative grading solutions to facilitate drainage and prevent erosion. We wanted to ensure there was a smooth transition of elevation changes but also to keep the natural beauty of the landscape. All in all, we were able to create a stunning outdoor place that beckons our clients and their guests to roam and explore with ease. The setup also provided custom seating areas made from recycled wood for comfortable options to unwind in nature. Additionally, a water feature was built that provides some pleasant sounds, contributing to a calming and serene experience. Our clients were overjoyed with the results and how their property was transformed as an extension of the residence and at the same time increased the value of their home. The family now has a place of retreat for gatherings and entertaining outdoors. The bottom line, the Classic (2) demonstrates Wantland Ink's passion for creating landscapes that function well, are beautiful, reflect the desires of the client, and enhance the natural landscape of Nashville.
