Jamestown Residence II Matunuck Design Group Inc. is proud to present the Jamestown Residence II, a beautiful landscaping that exemplifies the concept of outdoor living in Rhode Island. This total makeover is in harmony with the coastal landscape of New England, while increasing the property's natural topography. This created a purposefully designed landscape with native plantings, gently curved flower beds, and a water feature that promotes tranquility. The materials were also carefully selected for quality, to equally accentuate the architecture of the home, and for durability in the changing climates of the region, like locally sourced stone for the pathways and the patios. One of the most challenging aspects of this was the strong slope of the terrain, which necessitated grading to afford level- entertaining spaces. The team incorporated retaining walls into the construction in an effort to add strength to the area, while also attaining a visually pleasing quality in the garden space. A custom irrigation system was installed to properly sustain the property vegetation through the climate seasons. The final result is a stunning outdoor escape that created ample space for a patio layout and gathering, along with a fire pit for entertaining, as well as several vertical gardens that create interest year-round! The client was pleased with our ability to blend beauty and function, as we turned their backyard into a wonderful destination, as Matunuck Design Group, Inc. stands behind our work to not only meet but exceed the expectations of every client!
