Weekapaug Residence Matunuck Design Group Inc. is pleased to present the Weekapaug Residence, a magnificent landscaping that seamlessly combines the natural landscape with modern design in Rhode Island. Located in the quiet coastal community of Weekapaug, this represents our dedication to quality craftsmanship and innovative outdoor solutions. The design shows a beautiful combination of native plantings that had been selected specifically to survive in the local region while enhancing the quality of the natural landscape. The durability of the materials also enhances the visual quality of the design. Reclaimed stone was used for pathways, and sustainably sourced timber was selected for raised beds. An especially challenging feature of the property is the sloped terrain, as it was tricky to walk on and hard to manage the transitions between the beds. Our skilled team used advanced grading techniques to have tiered gardens on the property, which both allowed for drainage and addressed potential erosion issues. This careful grading made for an aesthetically pleasing landscaping design that functionally supports the site. The highlight of the design is a warm and welcoming outdoor living space that includes a custom stone patio and a fire pit for guests to entertain or for private nights under the stars. A plethora of greenery, including ornamental grasses and perennials of colour provide interest and sustainability all year, while drawing animals and other types of wildlife to the site. The Weekapaug Residence resulted in an amazing outdoor oasis for the client, not only fulfilling their vision, but probably exceeding what they were picturing. The way the hardscaping and softscaping were paired together creates an outdoor sanctuary, detached from society, all while being an intimate and beautiful property in the New England landscape. Our client was happy with the result of the landscaping , and shared wonderful feedback on their property, the quality of our work and how much the curb appeal increased through the design process.
