Rocky Terrace Big Fish Landscaping is excited to announce the 'Rocky Terrace' a beautiful statement piece in downtown Gardnerville. The 'Rocky Terrace' is a special undertaking focusing on the customer's enjoyment of outdoor living space where architecture and nature come together in harmony. Our crew was presented with the challenge of working on an extreme slope that required effort in planning, engineering, and construction for both durability and aesthetics. The highlights a multi-leveled terrace system that is finished with locally harvested natural stone to create tight integration with the landscape. Each terrace is planted with an assortment of drought-tolerant and low-water use plants for season interest and plant health. The terrace system is filled with a variety of ornamental grasses and flowering perennials to create a beautiful palette of colors year-round and interest throughout the seasons. The terrace system includes a fire pit built from natural stone and boulders to create a special spot for our clients to socialize with family and friends. We dealt with the challenge of drainage in managing excess water from the site by installing irrigation that would not only ensure the health of the plants but also the stability of the slope. The final turned out to be a stunning outdoor living space that not only captured the curb appeal needed for the property but also provided a functional space for enjoyment and relaxation. The clients were elated when they saw their transformation as they valued how seamlessly it integrated outside and inside with the natural elements in the .
