Our team took on the task of turning a rocky, sloped lot into a stunning outdoor escape for all of the Yampa Valley and Routt County. Our site analysis was deep and extensive, and from there we were able to lay out a landscape that responded to the natural topography and ecosystem. To ensure sustainability and low maintenance, we introduced native plants suited to the climate of the region. This collection consists of colorful native wildflowers, aromatic herbs, and resilient shrubs all chosen for their beauty, but also the fact that they attract local wildlife. Highlands features stunning stone retaining walls to serve both purpose and beauty created with granite sourced locally. These walls also were intended to help stop soil from washing away, while providing tiered planting areas that add more visual appeal. Tackling the difficulty of drainage originally posed by the sloped worksite, we expertly included a full irrigation method that requires all water inputs, whilst safeguarding the newly introduced vegetation. Custom concrete patio, featuring a variety of stamped textures and decorative borders, give that outdoor gathering place. We placed this functional area in the most ideal location for wind and it opened up great views of the valley to surround the home in it breathtaking environment. We had a policy of quality craftsmanship throughout the . Featuring a seamless flow of pathways, accent boulders were placed purposely and carefully to reap natural focal points. The end product that the clients now have exceeded their expectations and is a calm and relaxing landscape that serves as the perfect representation of Colorado living.
